NEW - now includes a high quality solar lens filterFor safe observation of sunspots, eclipses and planetary transits. A high quality telescope fornight and solar observation.
ThetelescopeConsists of a lens telescope (refractor) and aequatorial mountWhich includes a tripod. The optics have a free aperture of 127 mm with a focal length of 1200 mm and, therefore, an aperture ratio of F9.4. The refractor includes a number of extras such as tube rings withhandleAnd integrated camera mount, 31.7mm (1.25") zenith mirror or 8x50 finder. The EXOS-2 equatorial (also called parallactic) mount is aligned with one of the coordinates with the North Star. When tracking a celestial object, only one axis needs to be moved, which makes tracking easier compared to mounts that only have left/right and up/down axes (azimuthal mount). With the included 8x50 finder, it is easy to find celestial objects. The finder also has a reticle for more comfortable observing in the dark. The mount also includes apolar search engineWhich greatly facilitates alignment with north. By means of two flexible shafts connected to the fine adjustment knobs, objects can be precisely adjusted and tracked in the eyepiece. The stainless steel tripod is height adjustable and ensures a comfortable position for the observer.
Field of application: TheBRESSER Messier AR-127on EXOS-2 offers the amateur astronomer good optics with a stable and versatile mount. The telescope's 127 mm aperture is well suited for detailed observations of the Moon and the planets of our solar system. In addition, the telescope collects enough light to explore further into the night sky. Star clusters, globular clusters, planetary nebulae and some large nebulae can be observed with this telescope. To view even larger objects, it is worthwhile to purchase, for example, a 35mm eyepiece with a 70° field of view. Thus a large panorama of the sky can be obtained despite the relatively high focal length of the AR-127. With a total weight of approximately 24 kilograms, consisting of three parts (tube, mount with counterweight, tripod), the telescope is still suitable for use outside bright cities. Only then can the optics unfold their full potential.
Special featuresEquatorial mount (parallactic) Bresser EXOS-2 with a load capacity of up to 13 kilograms (depending on telescope length) and polar finder. Ball bearings on both axes ensure precise and smooth movement. For easy tracking and navigation during observation, an optional GoTo motor kit can be added.
