The new, ultra-compact Petzval MiniCat Astrograph from William Optics is a high quality photographic machine consisting of 6 lenses in 2 groups with integrated focuser (WIFD). The focal ratio of f/3.5 allows very short exposure times with maximum image quality and correction. The illuminated image field corresponds to that of full-frame cameras.

Thanks to the very short tube length and the low weight of only 1.67 kg, the MiniCat is a perfect apochromatic for travel and small camera mounts, such as the SkyGuider from iOptron. It has an M48 thread for attaching the camera. Suitable T2 adapters can be found under "Recommended accessories". The scope of delivery includes not only a protective nylon carrying case, but also a specially designed Bahtinov mask. This mask aids focusing and is integrated into the lens mount.
