
Chroma SII 5nm 2" narrow band filter
SII filter: the narrow-band filter only lets through light from ionized sulfur atoms at 672 nanometers, which is the line at which many planetary nebulae, emission nebulae and supernova remnants are illuminated.

SII filters isolate the spectral emission from singly ionized sulfur atoms, also common in nebulae. The emission occurs in two lines that form a doublet, at 671.6 and 673.1 nm. This filter also separates the sulfur emission from the H-alpha emission (656.3 nm).
