Product Details

This filter is the latest innovation in chroma correction filters. As its name suggests, the Semi-Apo filter provides a neutral image, greatly reducing the violet outlines characteristic of achromatic systems. The substrate used combines a strengthened formulation of the Fringe-Killer filter with the Sky Glow-Moon Neodymium filter, offering enhanced color contrast, especially on Jupiter and Mars. In addition, the Semi-Apo filter becomes an excellent filter for Mars observation with all types of telescopes, including Newton-type reflectors, Schmidt-Cassegrain catadioptrics and even apochromatic models.
