Moon filter Kepler ND96-0.6 transmission 25% for 1.25" eyepieces

The high luminosity of the Moon, especially during the gibbous and Full Moon phases, often makes the use of a dimming filter essential.

Lunar filters are used to reduce the observer's glare, since, although glare presents no danger, it becomes annoying during prolonged observations.

Neutral gray filters (with a transmission of 50%, 25% or 13%) have the great advantage of respecting the natural colors of the Moon.
