Baader S-II Ultra-Narrowband 4nm 31 mm diameter filter optimized for CMOS
This new generation of Baader CMOS filters features:
- CMOS-optimized Baader filters
- Increased contrast
- Narrower and narrower pass bands
- Reflex-Blocker ™ coatings, for the greatest freedom from halos, even in the most adverse conditions related to auxiliary optics
- FWHM in each filter category carefully designed to allow 1: 1: 1: 1 exposures, combined for typical CMOS quantum efficiency and s/w ratio
- Filter thickness identical to existing standards, with extreme care for parafocality
- Blackened edges all around, with filter lead-side indicator in the form of a black outer edge on the front side, to additionally eliminate any reflections due to light falling on the edge of a filter
- Each filter individually coated, with sealed coating edge (NOT cut from a larger plate with exposed coatings)
- Life-Coat ™: increasingly hard coatings to allow for a coating that will not age for life, even in the harshest environment
