Product Details

The image plane of many telescopes is not flat, but curved. This results in an image with optimum focus in the center of the field of view - the edge of the field is out of focus and therefore out of focus. The human eye is able to satisfy most of this but a camera will show stars increasingly out of focus towards the edge of the field. The Multi Purpose Curvature Corrector from Explore Scientific eliminates field curvature in a variety of telescopes - Explore Scientific Apos and many other refractor and cassegrain telescopes. This increases the sharpness of image edges dramatically.
