Product Details

The political map (globe off) shows the different countries of the Earth in many different colors.
The physical map (globe illuminated) shows mountain ranges, plateaus, plains and seabed.

The relief impression given by the illuminated map is particularly striking. The Duo map is exceptionally detailed. To ensure the highest level of brightness, it is adjusted exclusively by hand. The Duo card requires 24 printing passes.
The card is set by hand in a high-luminosity blown glass sphere.

The creation of this large sphere is a testament to Columbus' unique expertise. The 51 cm blown glass sphere requires days of preparation and perfect control of all manufacturing parameters.

This globe is the result of a fruitful collaboration between designers, cartographers and glassblowers.
