OMEGON Light Pollution Filter 2"

The Omegon filter against light pollution is a type of broadband filter. Its efficiency makes it universally applicable. The wide bandwidth allows better observation of star clusters, galaxies, nebulae and comets. However, it also filters out annoying artificial light, such as from street lighting.

Both the Omegon UHC filter and the Omegon OIII filter are limited in their application to a few objects. Therefore, the Omegon Light Pollution filter is more useful for generally increasing the contrast of faint objects, without filtering out the spectrum of possible observation targets.

The Omegon Light Pollution Filter is not only useful in light polluted locations, but also increases contrast in dark sky locations.

The advantages in a nutshell:

very suitable for small telescopes
can also be used for astrophotography
stars are not colored as much as with a narrow-band filter
