NEW - now includes a high quality lens sun filterFor safe observation of sunspots, eclipses and planetary transits. A high quality telescope fornight and solar observation.
The telescope consists of a refracting telescope (Refractor) and an equatorial mount with tripod included. The optic has a free aperture of 102 mm with a focal length of 600 mm and a focal ratio of f/5.9. The refractor has many extras such as tube clamps with grip and integrated camera mount, 31.7 mm (1.25") zenith mirror or 6x30 finder. With the EXOS-2 equatorial mount, also known as parallax, one axis is aligned with the North Star. When tracking a celestial object, only one axis needs to be moved, which makes tracking much easier compared to mounts that only have left/right and up/down axes (azimuthal mount). With the 6x30 finder included in the set, celestial objects are easily found. The finder also has a reticle for more comfortable observing in the dark. The mount also features an illuminated polar finder that greatly simplifies northward alignment. By means of two flexible shafts connected to the fine motion unit, objects can be precisely adjusted and tracked in the eyepiece. The stable tripod ofstainless steel tubeIs height-adjustable and thus ensures a comfortable viewing position.
Field of application: TheBRESSER Messier AR-102Sthe EXOS-2 offers the ambitious amateur astronomer good optics with a very stable universal mount. The telescope's 102 mm aperture is well suited for detailed observations of the Moon and the planets of our solar system. In addition, the telescope collects enough light to look further into the night sky. Star clusters or various nebulae can be observed in a dark sky. With a total weight of approximately 18 kg, consisting of the three parts (tube, mount with counterweight, tripod), the telescope is ideal for use outside bright cities. Only then can the optics deliver their maximum performance.
Special features: Saddle Bresser EXOS-2 Equatorial (parallactic) mount with a load capacity of up to 13 kg (depending on telescope length) and polar finder. Ball bearings on both axes allow precise and smooth movement. To facilitate tracking and navigation during observation, an optional GoTo motor set can be used.
