Acuter Solarquest Suntracker AZ mount with tripod and extension column
+ The video shown corresponds to the same mount but as marketed under the Sky-Watcher brand. But since it is the same product, it may be interesting to see it to better understand the behavior of the ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZ mount.
solar observing just got incredibly easy!
The intelligent and technologically innovative ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZmount from Sky-Watcher (marketed under the ACUTER brand name) is extremely easy to use and provides a safe experience to automatically locate and observe the Sun with your solar telescope.
Simply level the tripod approximately level and point your solar telescope anywhere to the left of the Sun and let Sky-Watcher' s revolutionary HelioFind solar alignment technology (marketed here under the ACUTER brand) do the rest automatically. With the push of a button, the telescope will automatically level itself and the mount using GPS data fix will calculate the altitude and azimuth of the Sun based on time and location. Then, the telescope will point to the correct altitude and the mount will rotate clockwise to search for the Sun. The solar sensor will detect the Sun and lock onto it, and silently track it and keep it within the eyepiece field of view indefinitely.
The ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZ mount can be used by educational centers, observatories, beginners and experienced observers and is highly recommended for ASTROTURISM activities. Obviously this mount is ideal for observing eclipses like the ones we expect in the coming years. When combined with your solar telescope it is a great companion for observing sunspots, solar eclipses, solar surface details and the transit of inner planets over the Sun.
The ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZ mount is lightweight and portable, quiet in operation, has a load capacity of up to 4 kg and accepts telescopes with standard 45 mm dovetails. The type Vixen.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZ mount is designed for use with solar telescopes only. Do not point any other type of optical device at the Sun. Looking directly at the Sun without a safe and professionally verified solar filter will cause immediate and irreversible eye damage (blindness), damage to the telescope and risk of fire. If in doubt contact our solar observing experts at TELESCOPIOMANIA

Some opinions: "ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZ is elegant in its simplicity and works like a dream. For one of our review tests, we placed a small white light filtered telescope on the mount head, powered the ACUTER Solarquest Suntracker AZ mount and waited for it to point at the Sun. Once this was done, we fine-tuned the position of the Sun through a high frame rate camera and a crosshair on the screen. We checked the alignment at regular intervals and, impressively, over a five-hour period the Sun's disk remained in the central part of the reticle." BBC SKY AT NIGHT MAGAZINE.
