The size of the solar image produced is 75 or 55 mm and can easily be viewed at right angles to the incident sunlight, which is very convenient when the Sun is high.
The optics consist of a 2-element achromatic glass lens of 30 mm diameter and 250 mm focal length, which can be reduced to 12 mm in 5 stages, an interchangeable optical unit with two convex mirrors of -10 or -14 mm focal length and a flat acrylic glass mirror.
The solar projector sits on a Dobsonian base and can be adjusted to any elevation between 0° and 90°. Two integrated dials allow the Sun's elevation to be determined.
The set measures only 20x20x25 cm, so it fits on any shelf.
