Oberwerk 100XL-ED
The Oberwerk 100XL-ED is one of the largest and most powerful models in the XL series, offering unmatched performance in a surprisingly portable design. With 100 mm FK-61 ED objectives, a 24 mm clear prism aperture and a waterproof, nitrogen-filled magnesium alloy body, this instrument delivers sharp, high-contrast, chromatic aberration-free images at up to 94x magnification.
Despite its large aperture, the 100XL-ED weighs only 5.67 kg, making it easy to carry and handle, even in field conditions. Its focal length of 560 mm , together with the included 14 mm and 8-element eyepieces (40x magnification) with a wide apparent field of view of 70° , provides a true field of view of 1.75° .
The 18 mm eyepiece distance and 2.5 mm exit pupil provide comfortable viewing, even with glasses. In addition , thanks to the dual helical focusers , you can use your favorite 1.25" astronomical eyepieces .
