Eyepieces
The 1.25" Plössl eyepieces are divided into different focal lengths, so that for many telescopes the observer can choose between a good range of small and large magnification factors. The classic Plössl construction guarantees an excellent price/performance ratio. All four lenses are multi-coated and offer high transparency in combination with few disturbing reflections. Lens edges and eyepiece tube are black to suppress reflections. All eyepieces are equipped with a rubber eyecup to suppress stray light. The supplied filters can be inserted into the eyepiece tubes at any time.
The 32mm eyepiece offers a long interocular distance. Due to the small magnification factor it is possible to observe a large real sky segment. This eyepiece is not only suitable for observation, but is also well suited for photography. With the help of a universal camera adapter and a digital camera, every beginner can take the first steps in astrophotography.
The filters
In astronomy, filters have the function of improving observation. In the suitcase you will find a well-stocked set of filters. Lunar and polarization filters ensure high-contrast and interesting depictions of the lunar surface. The other color filters have the function of increasing the contrast of the planetary surfaces. Accentuating or reducing certain colors means emphasizing certain details.
The Barlow lens
A Barlow lens is also part of the contents of the case. The lens has the bonded surfaces to ensure excellent transparency. By means of the double Barlow lens it is possible to extend the focal length of the telescope. In combination with the attached eyepieces it is possible to achieve a large number of magnification factors.
The Barlow lenses consist of a cemented combination, positioned at the lower end of the unit. They are in an optimal focusing position. It is possible to disassemble this lens combination and mount it on the filter thread of all eyepieces. In this way, the magnification factor can be reduced from 2 times to 1.5 times. Thus, the Barlow lens offers many different applications.
