Spare part for the Pressure-Tuner of the LUNT SOLAR SYSTEMS H-Alpha solar telescopes of the MT and THa series
Two rubber O-rings are installed in the Pressure-Tuner of the Lunt Solar Systems solar telescopes to seal the air pressure adjustment system. Over time, the rubber in these O-rings can age and become porous, making it impossible to maintain air pressure. An older O-ring can then be replaced with this spare part. Replacement is simple and can be done by the user. Installation instructions can be found here under the "Instructions" tab as a downloadable PDF.
Please note:
Depending on the production series, the diameters of the Pressure-Tuner pistons may vary. There are O-ring pistons with an inner diameter of 32mm and an outer diameter of 40mm, and O-ring pistons with an inner diameter of 34mm and an outer diameter of 42mm. Please check the diameter of your old O-rings, this replacement part is an O-ring with an inner diameter of 32mm and an outer diameter of 40mm.
If you need the larger O-ring with an inner diameter of 34mm and an outer diameter of 42mm, this is the replacement part with item number 0558340.
LS50THa scopes have Pressure-Tuner with smaller diameters, for these you need replacement O-rings with item number 0558320.
After replacing an O-ring, the piston and cylinder of the Pressure-Tuner can be re-greased with the grease available under item number 0558350.
