Product Details

Sky-Watcher red and white LED illuminator for night vision.

During astronomical observations, the eye adapts to very low light conditions. The pupil dilates as much as possible so that you can more easily observe very diffuse objects such as nebulae and galaxies. Bright white light completely overrides this adaptation, which can take up to 20 minutes to achieve.

This Sky-Watcher illuminator offered by Telescopiomania has two red and two white LEDs whose intensity is controlled by a potentiometer. A red light is much less aggressive while maintaining the benefits of dark adaptation while consulting your maps or tuning your equipment. The white LEDs will help you pick up your gear in the field without leaving anything behind.

Battery operated (not included) and equipped with a cord to place around your neck.
