The ZWO ASI990MM Pro is a high-end cooled monochrome camera, equipped with a Sony IMX990 SWIR sensor (1/2" format), with 1280 × 1024 (≈ 1.31 MP) resolution and 5 µm pixels. Its sensor covers a wide spectral range - from visible to near-infrared (~ 400-1700 nm), with a maximum quantum efficiency of ~80 % at 1200 nm - allowing it to capture details invisible to conventional CMOS cameras and to shoot even under veiled skies or in high light pollution. Thanks to its global shutter, 256 MB DDR3 buffer and dual-stage TEC cooling (up to ~-35 °C relative to ambient), it delivers clean images with low read noise (~21 e-) and no amp glow, ideal for astrophotography, SWIR research or photometry. Its USB 3.0 interface and standard T-mount/M42 connectivity make it easy to integrate with advanced telescopes or optical systems.
