Description

The cameraUranus-M Pro (IMX585)Was developed by Player One Astronomy yis the world's first IMX585-cooled camera. Uranus-Pro camera, which adopts the Sony sensorIMX585 1/1.2"Mono. The pixel size of2.9 um allows a well depth of 47.7 KeWith a total of8.3 MP(resolution is 3856*2180) and the diagonal is 12.85 mm.

STARVIS Technology
The Uranus-M Pro (IMX585) camera is based on the Sony STARVIS2 technology, which is the technologyof backlit pixelsUsed in CMOS image sensors.
Format
The Uranus-M Pro camera has a 1/1.2″ format like its sister the Uranus-C PRO, this size is large enough to take images.

Avant-garde design
The Uranus-M Pro refrigerated chamber uses the same design as thethat the refrigerated Ares series! With a round body, a classic red and black color scheme and the use of carbon fiber for weight reduction and a cutting-edge perspective. We also integrated the sensor tilt plateand anti-dew PCBThis series of designs makes the camera not only light and modern, but also functional!

3- or 4-point tilt plate
When photographing deep sky objects, the sensor tilt plate can be used to adjust the tilt angle of the sensor to make stars with rounded corners appear more rounded. The Uranus-M Pro camera provides a front and rear tilt plate to meet all usage scenarios.

The 3P front tilt plateIs the default part of the camera, we believe most users have already experienced it. It works well in many basic scenarios.
The 4P rear tilt plateIs an alternative part for camera, when using filter wheel/filter box and OAG with fixed angle, it is necessary. It is also convenient for RASA users to adjust the tilt angle of the sensor.
The built-in high-density sponge shading pad can block the light from the side slits without any side leakage.
Carbon fiber and light weight.
The Uranus-M Pro uses carbon fiber for its main body to minimize weight. The camera weighs only 420 grams, making it one of the lightest models on the market.

Cooling
Player One series refrigerated chamber uses 2-stage TEC cooling unit, after improving the structure design to reject heat in the chamber chamber, Delta-T chamber can reach 35-40 ℃.

Anti-fog
In the design of refrigerated chambers, Player One always strives for perfection, all the necessary features must have, especially the anti-frosting system, is the problem that many small refrigerated chambers have ignored.
Very good
The Uranus-M Pro camera has 47.7 Ke, which is almost 3.6 times more than the previous generation IMX485 (13 Ke).

Frame per second
The Uranus-M Pro camera can capture 47 frames per second in RAW8 mode, which is much faster than IMX485 cameras.
No amplifier glare
The Dark camera of the Uranus-M Pro is totally "dark", it is a camera without "Amp-Glow"!

Dark frame preview: exposure = 300 s, gain = 0, offset = 10, temperature = -10 ℃ Automatic STF stretching in Pixinsight 1.86
Non-Amp-Glow can give us a very clean background, making it much easier to obtain high quality images.
The Uranus-M Pro camera is also very good for solar, lunar and planetary imaging. Its 1/1.2″ sensor can easily capture the full disk of the Sun and Moon with short focal length refractors. And it could also make mosaic work more efficient.
512 MB DDR3 cache
As an improvement, the DDR3 cache memory of the cooled cameras has been increased to 512 MB. This helps stabilize and secure data transmission, effectively prevents frame loss and greatly reduces read noise.
With DDR3 cache, the camera no longer has high requirements for computational needs, it will still have excellent performance even if connected to a USB port 2.0.

Data port type C
The rear of the cooled camera has 2 Type-C data ports and a 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC 12 V power port.

The main data port supportsuSB3.0 protocolThe camera can be operated at47 fps in RAW8 mode. TheportType CIs easier to connect when assembling imaging equipment at night.

Anti-cold cooling and heating system
In the ASCOM window, we provide 3 adjustable parameters: target temperature, fan speed and anti-freeze power.
Delta-T standard: 35℃-40℃, when ambient temperature is 30℃, fan speed 100%, dew point heater 1%.
Recommended Delta-T settings: 30℃-35℃ below ambient temperature, fan speed 50-70%, dew point heating 10%, power consumption 40-60%.
The rotation speed of the cooling fan is also adjustable, the default value is 50% speed.
The problem of dew is the biggest enemy of astronomical images, the camera has an integrated anti-dew heater at the front of the camera. The heating power is adjustable.
Overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism
Player One cameras produced by number one ensure the safety of your camera and other equipment with overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanisms.
Performance
HCG open withgain=210 .

Reading noise
Regarding read noise, we solemnly promise that all values are obtained from real tests. And users can use Sharpcap 4 for testing. SC4 has a feature called Sensor Analysis, which provides a very simple way to test read noise.
If you are interested in reading noise proofs, you can try it yourself, which is very simple.
Running in the dark
The dark current is only 0.0004 e/s/pix at -20 ℃ and 0.005 e/s/pix at 0 ℃. In the whole curve, the dark current almost looks like a straight line, which can prove that the Ares camera has very good quality and stable performance.
