Start your journey in astrophotography with great convenience
The ASI585MC/MM Air integrates imaging, guidance and intelligent control, thanks to the "Dual Sensor + ASIAir" integration technology from ZWO. Forget about complex configurations and enjoy a smooth and hassle-free astrophotography experience.
Effortlessly connect multiple devices
4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 DC12V 10A ports, 1 USB Type-C port
USB 2.0 ports for your focuser, filter wheel and mount; DC 12V 10A input/output ports for reliable power; USB Type-C port for fast file transfers: you can focus on capturing stunning images without worrying about connectivity issues.
Ample storage, explore without limits
With 256GB of eMMC storage, the ASI585MC/MM Air lets you capture multiple targets with ease. Rigorously tested with over 300 benchmarks, it ensures system stability. In addition, USB 2.0 ports support up to 1TB of external storage, giving you ample space for all your astrophotography needs.
Starvis 2 4K sensor
Image sensor technology superior to the sensitivity of the human eye.
Equipped with the enhanced STARVIS 2 image sensor, which offers a wider dynamic range.
With this technology, the sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio of the ASI585MC/MM Air are greatly improved, delivering exceptional image quality.
ZERO AMP GLOW
The ASI585MC/MM Air exhibits zero Amp Glow, ensuring extremely sharp darkfield images. Regardless of exposure duration and gain value, you can easily capture high quality astrophotographs
Note: Directly implemented at hardware level, no software control required.
Dual-band Wi-Fi for stable signal
Experience unparalleled connectivity with our enhanced dual-band external antenna, compatible with 2.4G and 5G frequencies and offering stable and smooth usage within 20 meters.
Cross-platform device control
In addition to the ASIAIR application, the ASI2600MC Air can also be wirelessly connected to ZWO's proprietary PC control software, ASIStudio, as well as other third-party PC software. Third party software can be controlled via the ASCOM Alpaca extended protocol (requires ASCOM platform version V6.6 or higher).
( Note: 2.4G has a longer transmission distance but slightly slower speed compared to 5G. The 20 meter range is based on multiple tests of the 2.4G frequency in open areas).
Get full control of all your equipment at your fingertips
With patented technology from ZWO, smartphone connectivity and OTA updates for a seamless astrophotography experience.
Connect, capture and update easily: smart and fun astrophotography.
Instant post-processing and sharing
Live stacking is supported during the imaging session. You can also adjust brightness, contrast and other aspects of the final image. Instantly share your masterpieces on social networks and astronomy communities to make your work stand out.
Efficient cooling, superior image quality
The two-stage TEC cooling system reduces the CMOS sensor temperature to between 30°C and 35°C below ambient temperature, effectively reducing dark current generation.
Even during long exposures of several hundred seconds, noise is kept to a minimum.
Note: The lower the ambient temperature, the lower the cooling differential.
*Based on tests at 30°C ambient temperature. Cooling efficiency decreases as ambient temperature drops, so operation below -20 °C is not recommended.
Low read noise, high dynamic range
The camera incorporates an HCG mode that effectively reduces read noise at high gain and allows the camera to maintain the same high dynamic range as at low gain. When the gain is 200, the HCG mode is automatically activated and the dynamic range reaches a level close to 12 bits. Read noise is as low as 0.7 e.

Image Circle Compatibility Reference
Refer to the diagram below to understand how the Air ASI585MC/MM cameras accommodate various telescope image circles.
ZWO Air cameras are compatible with telescopes that support APS-C or higher image formats.
Note: When using a telescope with an APS-C image circle, you may notice a slight distortion in the guide star. If you are looking for more accurate and stable guiding, we recommend using a telescope with a full-frame image circle or higher.
