Optical tube Takahashi FC-100DC full optical tube D-100mm F740mm F/7.4

The apochromatic telescope Takahashi FC-100DC is designed around a fluorite doublet with F/D 7.4. It is equipped with a compact 31.75 mm rack, inherited from the FS-60CB. It is much lighter than its big brother FC-100DF, only 2.8 kg compared to 3.6 kg for the FC-100DF. A small mount will be enough to get the most out of it. Designed primarily for observation, it also allows the use of small cameras for astrophotography.

Photography at the telescope's native focal length requires the 76D field corrector or the multi-flattener. The FC-100DC can also be equipped with the 76D-RD focal length reducer.

Users of large sensors, APS-C format or larger, will prefer the FC-100DF model and its dedicated focal length reducer, the FC-35RD.
