Prodigy Microfocuser is a rugged 3-inch robotic focuser that allows you to precisely and remotely control the focus of your telescope.

Its robust mechanical design ensures that the Prodigy Microfocuser can lift up to 10Kg of equipment, accurately and without flexing. The focuser has a 25mm draw tube travel and a 76mm / 3" clear aperture.

The 3" focuser tube accepts different types of telescope adapters such as Celestron SCT Edge, GSO RC and refractors.

Zero motor backlash

The integrated stepper motor design ensures smooth, quiet and backlash-free operation. V-curve points during the autofocus procedure are very accurate.

Clear 3-inch aperture

The Prodigy microfocuser has a clear aperture of 3 inches or 76 mm.

Its drive tube can be moved up to 25 mm.

Adjustable rotation

The focuser allows for adjustable rotation/precise orientation on both sides. This helps you to easily adjust the microfocuser to your telescope and also to position your camera with the desired orientation.

Heavy load support

ZERO Bending up to 10Kg (22lb)

The Prodigy Microfocuser is not a Crayford or Rack and Pinion type. Its innovative mechanical focusing design provides very high load bearing and accuracy with zero maintenance. Prodigy Microfocuser can easily lift up to 10 kg (22 lb) of imaging equipment without flexing.

Telescope adapters available

Prodigy Microfocuser can accept different types of telescope adapters. The adapter can be securely mounted and aligned according to the user's preference.

Industrial grade USB hub and power ports

On the side of the Prodigy Microfocuser you can locate:

2 switchable USB2 ports

which allow connectivity of equipment close to your focuser, such as a filter wheel, a guiding camera, a motorized OAG, etc.

2 switchable 12 V power outputs

Each output (2.1mm) can output up to 4Amps

A very useful feature for organizing USB and power cables.

Each of these ports, USB or power, can be turned on and off via the supplied software.

Prodigy Microfocuser is controlled and configured from our Unity Platform

Pegasus Astro Unity Platform is our new end-to-end application. Our goal is to provide a robust and modern application that will support current and future products under one roof.

A modern frontend allows full control of all devices Pegasus Astro.

In addition, a REST JSON api helps third party software developers to interact with our products.

As we continuously develop our applications based on customer feedback, many innovative features will be added in upcoming releases.

* The firmware supports reprogramming via USB 2.0 connection using the update software (only available for Windows), for future updates that may become available. We constantly receive feedback from our customers and continue to update the firmware and software with new features.

Note that the back focus is 80mm (when the draw tube is all the way in) without any telescope adapter.

When a telescope adapter is attached, the total back focus increases.
