1.0x flattener

The 1.0x flattener does not change the native focal ratio: the Askar 80ED remains at f/7.

The Askar 80ED 1.0x flattener features a triplet lens design, including one piece of ED glass, optimized for APS-C mount. It weighs 0.42 kg. Rear focus is a standard 55mm from the M48 threaded surface.

The flattener corrects field curvature and coma, resulting in a flatter field and sharper, rounder stars at the edges.

Features

The rear end adapter has a built-in 2-inch M48×0.75 filter thread, without the need for the additional filter box, allowing direct filter attachment.

The entire unit is CNC machined and comes with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust when not in use.
