During the research and development process of the filter, ASKAR has optimized the design of the Ultra E1. Finally, it became a special filter with a bandwidth of 3 nm and a bandwidth outside of 3 nm.
The narrow band filter Askar Ultra E1 features an extremely narrow bandwidth and an ultra-high transmittance of more than 85% at its center wavelength (500.7 nm and 656.6 nm). It effectively eliminates light pollution. Even in areas with high light pollution, images with the 2" ColourMagic Ultra E narrow band filter are excellent. It is so practical and efficient that high quality astronomical images can be obtained with a single narrowband filter and a conventional color astronomical camera.
The ColourMagic Ultra E 2" narrow band filter is ideal for imaging emission nebulae, planetary nebulae or supernova remnants. Its extremely narrow bandwidth effectively blocks the effects of light pollution or other distracting factors such as nighttime glare.
