The PlaneWave CDK24 Astrograph is a 24-inch (610 mm) f/6.5 telescope designed for exceptional optical performance. Thanks to its Corrected Dall-Kirkham (CDK) system, this instrument provides a fully corrected 70 mm field of view with no field curvature, off-axis coma or astigmatism.

Weighing 109 kg, the CDK24 is ready to integrate the focuser of your choice via a back plate with retaining ring.

State-of-the-art optical design

The term CDK (Corrected Dall-Kirkham) defines PlaneWave's unique optical system: a Dall-Kirkham Cassegrain design with an optical corrector assembly that far exceeds the off-axis performance of most commercial telescopes, including traditional Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes.
It is also available in Ritchey-Chrétien (RC) and infrared-optimized versions.

Fused silica is an amorphous synthetic glass of superior purity, used in the most demanding professional observatories because of its thermal expansion coefficient six times lower than that of borosilicate glass (Pyrex).
